Free Serum 2 presets: 35 packs, 790 presets

The fastest way to know whether my sounds fit your music is to use them. Every pack here is $0, royalty-free and has audio demos on its page. Email only, no card: checkout asks for an email so the download link reaches you and stays in your account.

Which Serum you need depends on the pack. The 271-preset starter pack is .fxp, so it works in Serum 1 and Serum 2. The 34 smaller genre and sound packs are .SerumPreset files and need Serum 2.

• Download to your account after a $0 checkout. Email only, no card.
• Real pack demos on every page, so you hear before you download.

Free Serum 2 presets: questions

Are these really free?

Yes. Every pack in this category costs $0. Checkout asks only for your email, no card, so I can send the download link and keep it in your account for re-downloads. You can unsubscribe from the occasional email in one click.

Do they work in Serum 1?

The 271-preset starter pack does: it’s .fxp, the classic Serum format, and opens in Serum 1 and Serum 2. The other 34 packs are .SerumPreset files and open only in Serum 2. Serum 2 is a free upgrade for Serum 1 owners.

Can I use them in commercial releases?

Yes. Releases, beats you sell, client work, streams and sync are all fine, with no credit needed. The only thing you can’t do is resell or give away the preset files themselves as a pack.

How do I install them?

Unzip the download, copy the pack folder into your Serum presets folder (in Serum 2, the User folder in the preset browser), then rescan in the browser. The step-by-step version with Mac and Windows paths is in how to install Serum 2 presets.

When a free pack fits, the full genre pack is $19: FISHLAKE Vol.1 for tech house, Modern Deep House Vol.1, Technocraft for techno and Synopsis 808 presets. Every paid pack, with demos, is in the Serum 2 presets catalogue, and the genre bundles collect them at a lower price per pack.
