FAQ

Which Serum version do I need?

Either. All six packs are .fxp files, the classic Serum format, so they open in Serum 2 and in Serum 1. You do need Xfer Serum itself; the presets are not standalone instruments.

Is there overlap between the packs?

The 195 count is the six packs added together. They came out as separate releases at different times: Vol.1–3 are general piano and keys, Vol.4 moves into harpsichords and pipe organs, The Genius covers grand, upright and electric piano, and Keys of Majesty adds felt and organic keys. If you already own some of them, check which before buying the bundle.

Are these sampled or synthesized pianos?

Synthesized. They’re built in Serum from wavetables, envelopes and effects, not from multisampled recordings. So they behave like synths: you can shape them with the macros, filter and effects instead of working around a fixed recording.

Can I use them in commercial releases?

Yes. Royalty-free for your own music, no credit needed. You can’t resell or share the preset files themselves.
